Once, there was a vampire named Vanitas, hated by all other vampires because he was born under an azure full moon, not a blood-red night. Scared and alone, he created the «Book of Vanitas,» a cursed grimoire that would one day take revenge on all vampires… or so the story goes. Young adventurer Noé has heard of this book and longs to find it. He embarks on a journey to Paris by airship, where the trail of the grimoire has gone cold. It seems the book is truly cursed, as a vampire attacks Noé in the city… Yet somehow, the young man finds himself closer to his goal, for the doctor tending to his wounds has heard of the grimoire, and his name is Vanitas.
